Floods and landslides claim 100 lives, 67 missing

Kathmandu, September 29 — Floods and landslides have resulted in the deaths of 100 people, while 67 are reported missing. A total of 101 individuals have been injured in the disaster.

In Lalitpur, 20 people have lost their lives; in Dhading, 15; in Kathmandu, 12; in Kavre, 10; in Makwanpur, 7; in Sindhupalchok, 6; in Solukhumbu, 5; in Panchthar, 5; and in Bhaktapur, 5.

According to Home Ministry spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari, three deaths have occurred in Dolakha, two in Sindhuli, two in Dhankuta, two in Mahottari, one in Ramechhap, one in Jhapa, one in Udaypur, one in Ilam, one in Saptari, and one in Nuwakot.

For search and rescue operations in the affected areas, 9,983 security personnel have been deployed, and so far, 3,039 individuals have been rescued.
