Government postpones all examinations amid ongoing crisis
Kathmandu, September 28 — The government has decided to postpone all examinations. This decision was made during an emergency coordination meeting called by acting Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh on Saturday, as informed by government spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communication Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung.
He mentioned that the government is prioritizing the rescue and relief of citizens affected by the incessant rainfall. Additionally, the meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office decided to provide free medical treatment to those injured in the disaster.
According to Minister Gurung, the meeting expressed sorrow over the loss of life and property due to floods and landslides and decided to provide relief funds to the injured and to the families of the deceased as per regulations.
Furthermore, it was decided that the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure would take immediate action to clear blocked roads, while the relevant ministries would work to restore disrupted telephone and electricity services.
