Prachanda promises news of Leftist unity 'soon'
Kathmandu, September 26 — Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, claimed that a new update on leftist unity will be heard soon.
While addressing the 23rd National Conference of the All Nepal National Free Students' Union (Revolutionary) held in Kirtipur on Thursday, Prachanda instructed the student organization to prepare plans and programs accordingly.
"Reactionary forces are currently conspiring to eliminate leftist power. To counter this, all leftist groups will come together. You should emerge as lions on the streets; I have already come forth as a lion in Parliament. You will soon hear news of leftist unity," he said while directing the student organization.
He also asserted that the upcoming central committee meeting after Dashain will be a milestone for the party.
"The central committee meeting will be a milestone. It will make decisions to resolve the political issues facing the country," he stated. "Holding this revolutionary conference at this time has great significance. Conduct the conference successfully with your grandeur, as it will provide us with additional energy."
