NEPSE drops to 2,529 points
Kathmandu, September 23 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by 59 points. Trading, which started at 2,607 points on Monday, has steadily fallen to 2,529 points.
In the declining market, the trading volume has also decreased. Today, a total of 32,935,000 shares from 329 companies were bought and sold, amounting to a transaction value of 5.66 billion rupees.
On Monday, the share prices of 229 companies dropped. While 14 companies saw an increase, the price of one company remained stable. Nepal Finance Limited led in trading volume, with transactions totaling 213 million rupees, followed by CEDB Hydropower with 139 million rupees.
Today, the share price of Himalayan Hydropower increased by 9%, and the share price of Excel Development Bank rose by 8%. Other companies that increased in value did not exceed a 6% rise.
All sub-group indices listed on Monday have decreased.
