IMF official highlights improvements in Nepal's economy

Kathmandu, September 22 — Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel met with Rupa Dutta Gupta, the Deputy Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the Asia-Pacific region, in a courtesy visit.

During their meeting at the Ministry of Finance on Sunday, Gupta noted that Nepal's economy is showing signs of improvement.

She mentioned that laws related to investment facilitation are being revised, the revenue mobilization strategy is being implemented, and various economic suggestions are being put into action, which she finds encouraging.

In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel informed that the government is working systematically to strengthen the economy.
