Kathmandu - Nepali Congress leader Prakashman Singh today visited the Division Road Office, Kathmandu with a request to complete the ongoing road expansion projects in the Kathmandu Valley on time.
On the occasion, the federal parliament lawmaker from the Kathmandu-1 said the delay in the completion of such projects had fueled the problem of traffic jam in the Valley. He took the time to urge the division office-bearers to clearly inform the public about the deadline of road widening projects and to do the best to meet deadline.
Trend of demolishing public structures and digging of roadways in a haphazard manner in the name of development had really caused inconvenience to the public, he said, demanding the cooperation among government authorities concerned to finish development works on time.
In response, Office Chief Mukunda Adhikari apprised the lawmaker that electricity poles and drainage had been obstacles in accelerating such projects.
