Mahato announces new party

Kathmandu, September 17 — Rajendra Mahato, Coordinator of the Rashtriya Mukti Kranti (RMK), officially announced the formation of his party on Tuesday.

Mahato declared that the party's name will be 'Rashtriya Mukti Kranti-Nepal' at an expanded meeting of the RMK. It has been decided that Mahato will remain the party's chairman.

According to Mahato, preparations are underway to register the party with the Election Commission in the mid October.

After splitting from Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Mahato established  RMK in February and has been running various campaigns since then.
