Local by-election scheduled for December 1

Kathmandu, September 15 — The government has decided to hold the local level by-election on December 1. The decision was made at a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Sunday.

Previously on Sunday, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya and other officials had suggested to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to set the date for the local level by-election on December 1.

The by-election will be held to fill vacancies for two District Coordination Committee heads and 41 other local representatives.
