Ruling coalition to reach consensus on Deputy Speaker's removal
Kathmandu, September 11 — A meeting of the ruling coalition is being organized to reach a common position on the issue of impeaching Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar.
The Nepali Congress party has tasked Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak with coordinating all preparations for the meeting.
A gathering of former office bearers and top leaders of the Nepali Congress, held this morning, decided to formulate a common stance on the Deputy Speaker.
According to party chief whip Shyam Ghimire, Home Minister Lekhak will coordinate the meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Ghimire said, "The date, time, and location of the meeting will be determined after discussions with the Prime Minister." He added that the Nepali Congress will hold a parliamentary party meeting to finalize their position on the Deputy Speaker once these details are set.
