Facebook reinstates Mayor Balen's Facebook post

Kathmandu, September 6 — Facebook has reinstated a post by Balen Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, that was directed at Lumbini provincial assembly member from CPN (UML).

Shah announced that Facebook apologized and restored the post after he requested a review.

The post in question, which targeted UML Lumbini provincial assembly member Rekha Kumari Sharma, addressed the issue of domestic child labor. Facebook had removed Shah's post three days ago, citing a violation of community standards.
