Cabinet appoints new Chief Secretary and Film Board Chairman

Kathmandu, September 1 — The decisions from the Council of Ministers' meeting held last Thursday have been announced.

Government Spokesperson and Communications Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung informed the outcomes of the meeting.

The meeting appointed Ek Narayan Aryal as Chief Secretary and Dinesh DC as Chairman of the Film Development Board.

Additionally, the Cabinet meeting today at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers in Singhadarbar informed that Dinesh DC will have an induction and congratulatory ceremony at the board on Monday morning at 10:45 a.m.

The meeting also decided to receive a total of 25 million euros in grant aid, which includes 23 million euros from the European Union and 2 million euros from UNICEF. This funding is for the third phase of the multi-sectoral nutrition assistance program.

Furthermore, the Cabinet decided to provide monthly compensation to MP Bindhawasini Kansakar, a survivor of acid attack and attempted homicide. This amount will be collected from the defendant and added to the victims' relief fund, as per the judgment.
