Landslides disrupt Hetauda-Kulekhani and Kanti Lokpath routes
Kathmandu, August 26 — Two short-distance roads connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu have been blocked due to heavy rain. The Kanti Lokpath and the Hetauda-Kulekhani-Sisneri-Pharping road sections are currently impassable.
The District Police Office Makawanpur informed that the Hetauda-Kulekhani-Sisneri-Pharping road was obstructed on Monday afternoon after a landslide occurred in Ramchandra Bhanjyang, Ward No. 3 of Indrasarobar Rural Municipality.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Lakshmi Bhandari stated that efforts are underway by police and road division teams to clear the blockage.
Additionally, the road has been completely obstructed at Mahadevtar in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality, Ward No. 8 Mahadevtar after 4 p.m. The local police, in coordination with the road department, is working to clear the landslide and restore access.
