Prithvi Highway blocked by landslide in Tanahun

Pokhara, August 21 - The Prithvi Highway has been blocked due to a landslide in Tanahun.

Landslides caused by hillock collapse completely obstructed the highway.

According to Tanahun police, the landslide occurred in Ghansikuwa in Byas Municipality-13.

The landslide occurred because the hill was destabilized during road upgrading work.

The road in this area had not been paved before the monsoon season, which contributed to the current blockage.

The police stated that the collapsed mound is now blocking the road.
