Foreign Minister Rana meets Indian counterpart

Kathmandu, August 19 - Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba, currently visiting India at the invitation of her Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar, met with Jaishankar on Monday. This marks Rana’s first trip to India in her current role.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the bilateral talks will cover mutual interests, cooperation, and the further expansion of relations between the two countries.

Minister Rana is also scheduled to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, although the exact timing has not yet been set.

In addition, Charge d’ affaires Dr. Surendra Thapa hosted a dinner in honor of Minister Rana at the Nepali Embassy in Bahrakhamba on Sunday evening.
