PM set to address the Parliament today
Kathmandu, August 14: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, along with top leaders of major parties, is set to address today’s House of Representatives meeting. CPN-UML chief whip Mahesh Bartaula has indicated that the leaders are prepared to share their views on the transitional justice bill.
During the meeting, Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasia will propose the passage of the "Enquiry, Truth and Reconciliation Commission (Third Amendment) Bill, 2081."
According to the agenda, Law Minister Chaurasia will first present a proposal to discuss the "Investigation, Truth and Reconciliation Commission (Third Amendment) Bill, 2079" alongside the report from the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee. The bill is expected to be passed today.
