Bechan Jha declines to undergo polygraph test

Kathmandu, August 14: Bechan Jha, who was detained in connection with the Bhutanese refugee scam case, has declined to undergo a polygraph test. Despite attempts by officers at the District Police Range Kathmandu to administer the test, Jha refused to cooperate.

Police Senior Deputy Inspector Anju Kandel from the Polygraph Branch at Police Headquarters has reported to the Kathmandu Police that Bechan Jha "refused to take the polygraph test."

Jha had previously spoken to Ram Sharan KC by phone while arranging to collect a check. He has agreed to undergo a voice analysis test concerning this conversation. The investigation officers are preparing to conduct this vocal test and have obtained a photocopy of the check involved.
