'RSP against statute of limitation in graft cases'

Kathmandu, August 13: The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has declared its opposition to any statute of limitations on existing anti-corruption laws.

Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar stated that the party reached this conclusion in a meeting held on Tuesday.

Pariyar emphasized, “It is unacceptable under any circumstances to restrict anti-corruption laws. Corruption cases should be prosecutable at any time. We are witnessing attempts by some parties to seek immunity for past corruption, which is not acceptable to RSP. We will address this issue in the House.”

The meeting also decided to advance the proposed some Private Members’ bills related to burning issues.

Pariyar added, “We are currently finalizing discussions on the water bill and will likely register it today. Additionally, we will strongly raise concerns about electricity arrears in Parliament.”
