Judicial Council to appoint 35 district judges in Friday meeting

Kathmandu, August 9: The Judicial Council is set to appoint 35 district judges, with a meeting scheduled for Friday to finalize these appointments.

Chief Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha called the meeting for Friday afternoon following internal consultations with council members.

According to sources close to the Chief Justice, the sole agenda for this meeting is the appointment of district judges.

Although there is also a need to appoint four judges to the Supreme Court and 10 judges to the High Court, these appointments are not on the agenda for today’s meeting.
