Aviation Tragedy: 23 fatalities in 15 days
Kathmandu—Just 15 days after the Sourya Airlines accident on July 24, another aviation tragedy has struck Nepal. On Wednesday, the Air Dynasty helicopter, flight 9N AJD, crashed in Suryachaur, Shivpuri Rural Municipality, Nuwakot, while en route from Kathmandu to Syafrubesi in Rasuwa.
The District Police Office Nuwakot has reported that all five people on board, including the pilot, were killed in the crash.
Previously, on July 24, a Solar Airlines Bombardier aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport, heading to Pokhara. The accident claimed the lives of 18 people (excluding the pilot).
With these recent incidents, the number of fatalities from air accidents in the past 15 days has risen to 23.
