Melamchi river exceeds alert level

Sindhupalchok: The Melamchi River in Sindhupalchok has surpassed its alert level.

The Department of Water and Meteorology informed that the water level exceeded the alert threshold at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday at the Nakote water measuring center.

The rising Melamchi River poses a flood risk to Melamchi Bazar and nearby riverbanks.

The department has advised residents in these areas to exercise caution.
