Sudurpaschim CM Sodari calls it quits

Kailali: Dirgha Raj Sodari, the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, has resigned from his position. In a statement to the Province Assembly on Friday, Chief Minister Sodari announced his resignation to facilitate the formation of a new government.

“I have assessed the situation regarding the vote of confidence. It appears that there is insufficient support for me. Additionally, opposition party leaders have urged me to make way for a new government. Consequently, I am resigning to enable this transition,” Sodari stated during his address to the assembly.

Following his announcement, the Chief Minister proceeded to the provincial head office to formally submit his resignation.
