Nepali Congress joins Karnali government, swearing-in by 2 pm today
Surkhet: The Nepali Congress has joined the government in Karnali Province under the leadership of Provincial Assembly member Rajeev Bikram Shah. As part of this arrangement, along with Shah, Suresh Adhikari, Ghanshyam Bhandari, and Bijaya Budha have been appointed as ministers from the Congress party.
According to Daman Shahi, spokesperson for the Nepali Congress in Karnali Province, Shah has been assigned the Ministry of Finance, while Ghanshyam Bhandari will lead the Ministry of Social Development. Bijaya Budha will oversee the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy, and Suresh Adhikari will head the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest, and Environment.
Shahi also mentioned that the list of ministerial appointments has been submitted to Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place by 2 p.m. today, pending the Chief Minister’s endorsement.
Among the Congress ministers, three are aligned with the pro-establishment faction, while Suresh Adhikari belongs to the Shekhar Koirala faction.
