NEB set to announce class 12 results today

Kathmandu: The National Examination Board (NEB) has begun final preparations to announce the Class 12 results and aims to publish them today, if possible. A board meeting is currently underway to make the necessary decisions regarding the results.

Board Chairman Mahashram Sharma stated that the meeting will determine the final details. A total of 491,497 students took the Class 12 exams, which were conducted from April 26 to May 6.

The board organized the exams for students from 5,542 schools across 1,526 examination centers, including one in Japan. This year, for the first time, the board used an automatic selection system to determine examination centers. This pilot project, developed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the board's technical team, used a random method to select examination centers in the Kathmandu district.

The exams were conducted according to the Letter Grading Guidelines, 2021, and the results will be published based on these guidelines. The NEB has indicated that students must score at least 35 percent in theory to pass.
