Mahesh Bartaula's rapid ascent in politics

Kathmandu: Mahesh Bartaula has achieved a notable milestone in his political career.

He has been appointed as a central committee member of the CPN UML, alongside 16 others, at the party’s Secretariat meeting on Thursday. His rapid ascent in politics has been remarkable.

Previously, Bartaula was elevated from a whip to the position of chief whip when assigned parliamentary responsibilities by the UML. He currently serves as the chief whip for the ruling party too.

Bartaula, who represents Makawanpur Constituency No. 2 in the House of Representatives, gained prominence by defeating the influential CPN (US) leader, Birodh Khatiwada.
