CK Raut drives bold new initiatives in Madhesh Province
Kathmandu: The Janamat Party is currently leading the Madhesh province government. The Nepali Congress, CPN UML, and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party have also pledged their support to the Madhesh government.
This time, the Janamat Party has taken a significant role in shaping the policies and programs of the Madhesh government for the current fiscal year. The new plan for Madhesh province is considered highly attractive and ambitious.
Several of these ambitious plans are included in the budget. To ensure their implementation, Dr. CK Raut, the chairman of the Janamat Party, has become actively involved. He is working diligently by holding regular discussions with government ministers and stakeholders in Madhesh province.
Chairman Raut has directed Chief Minister Satish Singh to initiate the budget allocation programs immediately. Raut is personally overseeing studies in various locations throughout Madhesh province. He is visiting different districts to determine the most suitable location for each proposed plan.
The Janamat Party-led Madhesh government has proposed a variety of projects, including a tourist park, a call center for employment services, a regional space and communication research center, a Madhesh start-up and innovation center, a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for markets with cold rooms in 16 locations, a science park, and a planetarium.
Other proposed initiatives include a Soil Park, Baba Saheb Ambedkar Park, Shaheed Ram Manohar Yadav Park, an Employment Center in every constituency, Ram Janki Multipurpose Stadium, Osho Ashram in Rajbiraj, Osho Meditation Center in Janakpur, Gajendra Narayan Singh Smriti Bhavan in Rajbiraj, Madhesh Olympic Sports Center, Madhesh Art Studio, Madhesh Think Tank, Coding Army, Open Educational Park, and IT Parks in Saptari and Birganj.
Additionally, plans for an investment conference in Madhes province, the establishment of a Madhesh development bank, a provincial-level industrial fair, and the beautification of the provincial capital have also been proposed.
Chairman Raut has already begun evaluating which of these schemes should be implemented and where. After arriving in Saptari on Sunday, he inspected potential sites for the Industrial Building, IT Park, Science Park, Planetarium, and Shaheed Ram Manohar Park in Saptari constituency No. 1 and 2.
On July 27, Chairman Raut conducted a search and inspection of land for projects, including Baba Saheb Ambedkar Smriti Park, Film City, and the Communication and Space Center in Siraha district.
The party’s vice chairman, Er. Deepak Sah, stated that the plans included in the budget are directives from the party for immediate implementation. He emphasized that there is no need to wait for the fiscal year’s end to advance the development plans and that instructions are to proceed as soon as possible. Sah noted that Chairman Raut himself is actively involved in this effort.
Former member of the National Planning Commission and party leader Jayakant Raut is also actively contributing to this campaign. He reported that he is working tirelessly to ensure the success of the plan but expressed frustration over the lack of full support from employees. Raut criticized the high-level employees for maintaining outdated attitudes, reminiscent of previous governments. He added that public opinion is pushing for a different approach, which some employees have not yet grasped, and efforts are being made to clarify this.
