Suspended Chief Secretary Aryal released on bail
Kathmandu: The Special Court has ordered the release on bail of Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal, who had been suspended in connection with a corruption case. He walked a free man after paying NRS 50,000 as ordered by the court.
The court, led by Chairman Tek Narayan Kunwar and judges Ram Bahadur Thapa and Ritendra Thapa, made the decision following Aryal's statement. Aryal was found guilty in a case involving corruption related to excise duty stickers. He appeared in court on Sunday to defend the charges.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority filed the case on June 23, naming Aryal and 10 others in connection with the corruption allegations.
