Dead bodies taken to Teaching Hospital for autopsy, treatment of the Captain at KMC Hospital

Kathmandu. The bodies of 18 people who died in the 9-NAME plane crash of Saurya Airlines have been sent to the Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital. SSP Dinesh Raj Mainali of the Valley Police Office told Ratopati that the bodies collected from the scene were sent to the teaching hospital for post-mortem.

SSP Mainali said that the plane that flew to Pokhara fell into space behind the hangar of Saurya Air. Captain Manish Ratna Shakya of the plane was rescued and admitted to KMC Hospital in Sinamangal. Shakya's eyes have been injured. 

Security personnel and firefighters have brought the fire under control at 11:40 pm.  

19 passengers including crew members were on board. All the passengers who were going to repair the plane in Pokhara were engineers and employees of Saurya Air. Amit Mann Maharjan, Sagar Acharya, Dilip Barma, Manuraj Sharma, Ashwin Niraula, Sudip Lal Joshi, Sarvesh Marasini, Shyam Bindukar, Navraj Ale, Rajaram Acharya, Preeja Khatiwada, Adhiraj Sharma, Uddhav Puri, Yagya Prasad Poudyal, Santosh Mahato, Punya Ratna Shahi and Arif Reda were flying in the plane.
