Chinese Vice Minister paid a courtesy call on Nepal Prez

Kathmandu: Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong paid a courtesy call on President Ramchandra Poudel at the Presidential Palace Sheetal Niwas on Wednesday. The President's personal secretariat reports that during the meeting, a number of topics related to bilateral ties and cooperative efforts were covered.

President Paudel stated during the meeting that China, a cordial nation, has long been a significant and consistent development partner for Nepal, having made contributions to the country's development initiatives. He voiced the opinion that China will keep supporting Nepal even after it is lifted out of the designation of an underdeveloped country in 2026.

He stated that people-to-people connections between China and Nepal are quite cordial. He also mentioned that artists Araniko, Bhrikuti, and Chinese and Nepalese monks have made significant contributions to the enhancement of people-to-people relations and cross-cultural interaction between the two nations.
