Supreme Court orders not to implement the action against Phanindra Devkota
Kathmandu: Supreme Court has issued an interim order in the case of MP Phanindra Devkota of Gandaki Povince Assembly.
The courts has ordered not to relieve him of his positiion.
The bench of Judge Prakashman Singh Raut issued the order in favor of Devkota.
With this order, the action taken against him by the Moaist Center has become void.
Maoist Center had written to the Speaker Krishna Dhital to relieve him of the position of province assembly member.
He had crossed the floor to give the vote of confidence to the Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey disobeying Maoist Center's whip.
He was elected from Gorkha Constituency 2(1) under Maoist electoral symbol. He had claimed that he was an independent lawmaker and Maoist whip does not apply to him.
