Chief Secretary to be prosecuted for Teramox procurement

In the Teramox procurement case, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has declared that it will prosecute Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal for corruption.

Speaking to Ratopati, a senior commission official stated that the Nepal Telecommunication Authority decided to sue Aryal after learning of his role in obtaining the Teramox Telecommunication Traffic Monitoring and Fraud Control System.

Following the discovery of irregularities, an investigation was conducted, and the decision was made to file a case in a special court.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that Mohan Bahadur Basnet and Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, two former ministers of communication, were also involved in the procurement process.One of them has been designated as a defendant in the lawsuit by CIAA.
