Devkota likely to be suspended
Pokhara: Nepal Samajwadi Party leader Phanindra Devkota, who won the election in Maoist symbol, is being suspended from Gandaki Provincial Assembly today. Devkota had voted for Chief Minister Surendraraj Pandey by crossing the floor during Pandey's vote of confidence motion.
The provincial assembly meeting scheduled to be held on Friday at 11 am has been delayed due to ongoing discussion on this matter.
An employee of the Parliament Secretariat said that the letter of his suspension or action was not in the Speaker's 'reading paper'.
However, the Maoists said that action will be taken against Devkota today and the information has reached the Parliament Secretariat.
