Overcast and rain due to influence of westerly wind

Kathmandu - The country might witness overcast condition while some parts may experience rainfall coupled with thunder today due to influence of the Westerly wind. 
The influence of Westerly wind began on Saturday night leading to overcast conditions and rainfall is likely in some parts of the hilly area due to it, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division. 


The Westerly winds will impact the central region and western parts of the country till this night, said meteorologist Raju Pradhananga. The weather would see improvement from Monday afternoon. 
The overcast condition would continue for some days. Earlier on February, high hilly areas as well as Kathmandu valley had experienced rainfall. 
According to the Division, the maximum temperature of Kathmandu valley today was recorded as 24 degree Celsius and minimum temperature as 8.5 degree Celsius.
