One dead while crossing Thorangla Pass in Manang

Manang: While crossing Thorangla Pass located in Manang Ngisyang Rural Municipality-8 of Manang, a Nepalese tourist died due to lack of oxygen on Wednesday.

The deceased is Hari Adhikari of Ganga Jamuna Rural Municipality-5 Phulkhark of Dhading. Chief District Officer Subas Kumar Lamichhane informed that the officer died while crossing the Thorangla Pass located at an altitude of 5,416 meters under the Annapurna footpath.

During the hike, Adhikari was injured in Thorangla Pass. He died on the spot. Adhikari's dead has been  taken to Kathmandu by helicopter.
