Judge Giri convicted

Kathmandu District Court On Tuesday pronounced a punishment to ex-judge Bhuwan Giri in a rape case.

A single bench of Judge Durga Bhusal handed the sentence to Giri for meting out domestic violence and having non consensual sex with his ex-wife.

The court pronounced the prison term of seven years and a fine of Rs300,000. The court had termed him guilty on 26 May.

Giri is currently serving prison term on the order of Supreme Court. He has already lost his post after being found guilty in criminal offence.
