Nepal faces Yemen tonight

Nepal will face Yemen on Tuesday night in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match. The match between Nepal and Yemen will start at 23:45 PM Nepali time in Saudi Arabia.

The match that Nepal has to play at its home is also going to be played at a neutral venue. As per the technical report submitted by the technicians to Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Dasarath stadium is not technically suitable for the match. Based on the same report, AFC sent a letter to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and informed them that the game to be held at Dasharath Stadium should be played at a neutral venue.

Nepal is going to play the match in Saudi Arabia which should have been played at home. Earlier, Nepal's match against United Arab Emirates (UAE) was also played in Saudi Arabia. Nepal is in Group "H" in the second round of World Cup qualifiers from the Asian region.

All the four nations in that group have played five games each. Having won all five matches, UAE tops the table with 15 points. Bahrain is in second place with 10 points.

UAE and Bahrain have reached the third round of World Cup qualifiers. With four points, Yemen is in third place in the table. Nepal has lost all five matches. In the five matches played so far, the Nepali team has not scored a single goal and conceded 18 goals.

Earlier, the Nepalese team lost two matches against UAE by the same margin of 4-0 goals. Yemen defeated Nepal by 2-0 in the first match. The second match against Yemen is scheduled to be played on Tuesday night. Nepal lost by 5-0 goals and 3-0 goals respectively in the two matches against Baharain.
