Eight people held for banking fraud

Kathmandu: 8 people including the then chairman of Century Bank have been arrested. The team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) arrested 8 people including the then chairman Rajesh Shrestha.

Superitendent of Police Hobindra Bogti of CIB informed that the investigation has been started after taking them into custody for banking offences.

Earlier also on 27th February, 10 people including the then CEO of Century Bank were arrested and released on the charge of lending more than the mortgage. The then CEOs of the bank, Tulsi Gautam and Manoj Neupane, were arrested, but they were released on bail.
