Government is Stable: Agni Sapkota
KATHMANDU: Agni Prasad Sapkota, spokesperson for the CPN (Maoist Centre), stated that internal conflicts within the coalition parties will not have any impact on the government. Sapkota clarified that despite some issues within the ruling parties, the government remains stable.
Speaking to Ratopati on Thursday, Sapkota asserted, "While certain parties within the government are experiencing internal rifts, it doesn't pose a threat to the government's stability. The government is secure."
He mentioned that the Prime Minister is in discussions with coalition parties regarding the reshuffling of ministers, and he also revealed plans to incorporate Nagarik Unmukti and Janamat Party into the government soon.
Sapkota clarified that there hasn't been any formal discussion within the party regarding the recall of ministers from the Maoists. Additionally, he noted that the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSPN), which had been part of the Prachanda government, has withdrawn its support following the split. The dispute over the JSPN's split is currently awaiting resolution in the Supreme Court. The Unified Socialist remain discontented with the ruling coalition.
Furthermore, Rabi Lamichhane, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, as well as President of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has become embroiled in controversy related to a cooperative fraud case.
