UML's National Convention Representatives Council convenes today

KATHMANDU: The inaugural session of the National Convention Representatives Council of the CPN (UML) is currently underway in Lalitpur.

A total of 2,454 general convention representatives are expected to participate in the two-day gathering. Party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli is presiding over the council meeting, during which he will deliver the political report, while General Secretary Shankar Pokharel will present the organizational report.

Additionally, representatives from the Central Disciplinary Commission, Central Accounts Commission, Central Election Commission, and Central Advisory Council are slated to provide their respective reports during the meeting, as stated by Rajendra Gautam, Chief of the UML Publicity Department.

The agenda includes the presentation of a detailed action plan aimed at launching the 'Year 2081' campaign, focused on the purification and strengthening of the party.

Participants will have the opportunity to offer suggestions on the reports and action plan presented.

Gautam expressed confidence that the council meeting will provide valuable guidance to the UML, helping to solidify its position as a robust and decisive national force committed to advancing political stability, sustainable peace, good governance, and prosperity in accordance with the country's needs and the aspirations of its people.
