Unified Socialist leader Sodari asserts claim for Sudurpaschim CM post

KATHMANDU: Dhirga Bahadur Sodari, the parliamentary party leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) in Sudurpaschim Province, has officially declared his candidacy for the position of Chief Minister.

Supported by CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML, CPN (Unified Socialist), Nagarik Unmukti Party, and an independent lawmaker, Sodari's bid has gained momentum.

Despite initial hesitations, CPN-UML has chosen to support the Unified Socialist to maintain their alliance at the federal level.

Sodari is expected to take the oath as Chief Minister later today.
