Appointment Update: Raya as Auditor General, Shakya as NA member

KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel has appointed Toyam Raya as the Auditor General of Nepal, following the recommendation of the Constitutional Council.

The appointment of Raya to the post of Auditor General was made by President Paudel in accordance with Article 240 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, according to a press release issued by Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, Spokesperson of the Office of the President.

Additionally, President Paudel has nominated Dr. Anjan Shakya as a member of the National Assembly, based on the government's recommendation.

This nomination of Shakya to the National Assembly post was made by President Paudel in accordance with Article 86 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, as stated in a press release issued today by the Office of the President. The recommendation to nominate Shakya to the vacant post of NA member was made during a cabinet meeting held on April 12.
