ANFA Vice Chairman Lama freed following arrest
KATHMANDU: Dawa Lama, Vice Chairman of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), was apprehended in Kathmandu on Wednesday but has since been released.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office escorted Lama to the High Court, which subsequently ordered his release.
Lama was detained regarding a drug-related case and had previously served a five-year sentence from the Patan Appeal Court in 2064 BS for his involvement in a drug offense.
Following Lama's appeal at the Supreme Court challenging the High Court’s decision, the High Court granted his release.
