Parliamentary sessions convene today in both upper and lower houses
KATHMANDU: Gathering momentum at the Federal Parliament building in New Baneswor, Kathmandu, the House of Representatives (HoR) and National Assembly is all set for its session today.
On the agenda of HoR meeting, we have Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Bhanubhakta Joshi stepping up to propose the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080, for consideration. This bill holds the promise of significant administrative reforms, aiming to streamline civil services across the nation.
Joining the discourse, Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Jwalakumari Sah brings forth the Food Hygiene and Quality Bill, 2077, for deliberation. This crucial piece of legislation, initially introduced in the National Assembly, is geared towards ensuring higher standards of food safety and quality for all.
As the day progresses, we anticipate the Parliament Secretariat's recommendation for the passage of the Food Hygiene and Quality Bill, 2077. With its roots in the National Assembly, this bill's journey symbolizes a collaborative effort towards safeguarding public health and well-being.
Likewise, the National Assembly meeting is scheduled to fix date for election of the Vice Chairman of the Assembly among other crucial agendas.
The meeting is slated to kick off at 1:15 PM.
