Karnali CM Sharma to seek vote of confidence today

KATHMANDU: Chief Minister Rajkumar Sharma of Karnali Province is slated to seek a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly on Wednesday.

The formation of the government in Karnali has encountered complications subsequent to an agreement at the federal level to transfer leadership to CPN-UML.

The Maoist Center, presently leading the provincial government, has contested this decision.

Ranasingh Pariyar, Chief Whip of the Maoist Center Karnali PA Party, affirmed that Chief Minister Sharma would undergo the vote of confidence on Wednesday.

Pariyar reiterated that no actions will contradict the agreement established at the Center, but the transfer of power will only occur following the vote of confidence.
