Nepal 'A' faces Ireland 'A' in third T20 match today

KATHMANDU: Nepal 'A' is gearing up to compete in the third T20 practice match against Ireland 'A'.

The match is set to commence at 1:00 pm today at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground in Kirtipur.

Nepal has faced defeats in all previous matches, resulting in losing the series title.

In the initial encounters, Nepal 'A' suffered losses to Ireland 'A' by 21 runs and 40 runs, respectively.

Despite Lokesh Bam's remarkable century in the first match, Nepal couldn't secure a victory. They fell short in the chase of Ireland's target of 223 runs, managing only 201 runs in 19.3 overs, losing all wickets.

In the subsequent match, Ireland 'A' set a target of 225 runs, which Nepal 'A' failed to achieve, scoring only 184 runs in 17.5 overs.

The series loss has been attributed to Nepal 'A's middle-order and lower-order batters' inability to perform well on the field.

Looking ahead, Nepal 'A' is slated to engage in a three-match ODI series against Ireland 'A', beginning Wednesday.
