Constitutional Council meeting underway

KATHMANDU: The Constitutional Council is presently in session at Baluwatar, led by the Prime Minister.

Gathering at the Prime Minister's Office Residence, the Council aims to address crucial appointments within Nepal's constitutional bodies, ensuring their proper functioning.

Comprised of key figures such as the Chief Justice, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and other distinguished members, the Council holds significant responsibility in filling vacant positions across various constitutional entities.

As per Nepal's Constitution, there exist 13 such bodies entrusted with upholding democratic principles and ensuring accountability within the nation's governance framework.

This meeting reflects the government's dedication to maintaining transparency and efficiency in the country's administrative processes.
