House of Representatives meeting today

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is set to convene today at 11 am at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneswor for a significant session.

The gathering will commence with the Speaker's announcement, heralding communications from the Office of the President and the Prime Minister, along with directives from the Council of Ministers outlining forthcoming duties.

A diverse range of topics is on the agenda for discussion. Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, is slated to introduce a proposal for a comprehensive dialogue on agreements related to the establishment of the International Solar Alliance (ISA).

Finance Minister, Barsaman Pun, will take the helm in deliberations with a proposal seeking authorization for the introduction of the Banks and Financial Institutions (First Amendment) Bill 2080, marking a significant stride on the legislative front.

Similarly, Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister, Bhanubhakta Joshi, will lead discussions on propelling the Construction Materials (Management and Regulation) Bill 2080 towards the relevant committee for thorough quarterly scrutiny.
