UML joins Bagmati provincial govt, Thapaliya to be sworn in as Finance Minister

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML is set to join Bagmati provincial government, with Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkatel announcing the extension of the Cabinet today.

Jagannath Thapaliya has been chosen as the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning.

Thapaliya will take the oath of office later this afternoon at 5 PM.

This move follows the formation of a new ruling alliance at the central level, marking significant political changes within the province.
