Identity of deceased confirmed in Trishuli taxi accident

CHITWAN: Police have confirmed the identities of the five individuals who tragically lost their lives in a taxi accident this morning in the Simaldhara area of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-5 along the Prithvi Highway.

Additionally, one person traveling in the taxi remains missing, as per police reports.

The accident occurred at 7:15 AM when a taxi (Ba 2 Ja 4196), en route to Gorkha district from Kathmandu, plunged approximately 80 meters off the road into the Trishuli river.

The deceased have been identified as Arjun Sirmal, aged 35, Harimaya Rokaya, aged 41, Jun Kiri Rokaya, aged 71, Anjan Rokaya, aged 28, and nine-year-old Agaman Nagarkoti, all from Gorkha Municipality-7, Gorkha. Eighteen-year-old Dibas Rokaya is reported missing in the river.

Bhabesh Rimal, Chief of Chitwan District Police Office, revealed that the victims were returning home after attending a family event in the Capital City.
