National Assembly's Vice Chairman steps down
KATHMANDU: Urmila Aryal, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, has resigned from her post.
Aryal's resignation was handed over to Chairman Narayan Dahal, citing discontent following CPN (Maoist Center)’s selection of Dahal as Chairman.
The coalition had initially agreed to allocate the Chairman's position to CPN (Maoist Center), suggesting the new Vice Chairman would be from the ruling alliance.
With CPN (Unified Socialist) joining the coalition, it is likely to secure the Vice Chairman's position.
