RPP names Laxmi Gurung as candidate for Ilam 2 by-election

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has named Laxmi Gurung as its contender for the upcoming House of Representatives by-election in Ilam 2.

According to RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha, Gurung's nomination was finalized during the party’s parliamentary committee meeting held on Thursday.

RPP highlighted Gurung’s local knowledge and understanding of people’s concerns as factors contributing to her selection.

The by-election in Ilam-2 was necessitated by the passing of CPN-UML lawmaker Subash Chandra Nemwang. It is scheduled to take place on April 27.
